PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State senior Jacklin Mitchell (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Peru) was named the Spry State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Singles Athletes of the Week for women's tennis, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. This is the team's first weekly honor of the season. 

Mitchell helped lead the Cardinals to a perfect 2-0 week, as Plattsburgh collected a pair of dominant 7-0 victories over Russell Sage and VTSU Castleton. Mitchell was slotted at No. 1 singles in both matches, earning straight-set victories in each contest. Against VTSU Castleton, Mitchell delivered a particularly dominant performance, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
