PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State senior Jacklin Mitchell (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Peru) was named the Spry State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Singles Athletes of the Week for women's tennis, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. This is the team's second weekly honor of the season.  

Mitchell helped lead the Cardinals to a perfect 2-0 week, earning a pair of straight-set victories at No. 1 singles. Mitchell opened the week with a commanding 6-2, 6-4 win against VTSU-Castleton before returning to conference play later in the week and sweeping Delhi, 7-0. Mitchell once again dominated at No. 1 singles, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory. With the two wins, Mitchell helped Plattsburgh State improve to 8-1 overall while remaining undefeated in conference play.
