PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. –
Danielle Moscarello, a former SUNYAC student-athlete at SUNY Potsdam, has been hired as the Plattsburgh State softball assistant coach, as announced by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation.
Moscarello joins the Cardinals after a four-year playing career with the Potsdam softball program, competing in the same SUNYAC conference as Plattsburgh State. A three-year team captain for the Bears, she was a consistent presence in the lineup and a respected leader both on and off the field during her collegiate career.
An outfielder from Arlington, Vermont, Moscarello appeared in 136 career games and capped her senior season with a .276 batting average. She also earned SUNYAC Athlete of the Week honors during her career. Moscarello graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a degree in criminal justice.
"We're thrilled to welcome Coach Dani to the Plattsburgh staff," Head Coach Jess Miller said "Her expertise in baserunning and outfield play will be a tremendous asset to our player development. She brings incredible energy, insight, and a fresh perspective shaped by her experience as a student-athlete."
In her role with the Cardinals, Moscarello will assist with on-field instruction, player development, and day-to-day program operations, while also serving as a mentor to student-athletes.
