PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey coaching staff has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Coaching Staff of the Year.

Head Coach Kevin Houle, Assistant Coach Emma Killeen '22, and Goaltending Coach Anthony Del Tufo guided Plattsburgh State to a strong season, leading the Cardinals to the SUNYAC regular-season title and the top seed entering the conference tournament. The Cardinals finished with an 18-6-1 overall record and a 12-1-1 mark in conference play. They averaged 3.2 goals per game while allowing just 1.4 goals per contest.

Plattsburgh State's success this season was highlighted by five All-SUNYAC honorees, including senior defender Taya Balfour, who was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year, and first-year forward Bailey MacKellar, who earned SUNYAC Rookie of the Year honors.

Thirteenth-ranked and top-seeded Plattsburgh State will face fourth-seeded William Smith (12-14, 7-7 SUNYAC) in the SUNYAC Semifinals tomorrow, February 28, at 3 p.m. at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.
