PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — The Plattsburgh State men's hockey program is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, November 22, as the Cardinals host SUNY Cortland at 4 p.m. inside the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.
As part of the day's festivities, an alumni game will be played from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., bringing together former Cardinals who helped build the foundation of one of the most successful programs in Division III hockey. Members of the program's early club team will also be recognized for their role in shaping Plattsburgh hockey.
In addition, Plattsburgh State will honor its 50th Anniversary Team, highlighting standout players from across the program's five decades of excellence. The 50th Anniversary Team includes:

Since its inception, Plattsburgh men's hockey has established itself as one of the premier programs in college hockey, earning:
- 2 NCAA Division III National Championships
- 16 NCAA Frozen Four appearances
- 25 NCAA Tournament appearances
- 24 SUNYAC Championships
The 50th Anniversary Celebration will give fans, alumni, and the North Country community an opportunity to reflect on the program's tradition of excellence, while also looking ahead to the next era of Cardinal hockey.
