2025 Plattsburgh State Women's Tennis Schedule

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's tennis team looks to make it to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament for the second year in a row, as the Cardinals play a nine-match slate this upcoming fall.

Plattsburgh State went 7-6 (2-3 SUNYAC) in 2024-25, finishing in fourth place in the SUNYAC standings to clinch a conference tournament berth. The team fell to New Paltz in the first round.  

The Cardinals open up their season on Tuesday, Aug. 26, in non-conference action, taking on the Spartans of Vermont State University (VTSU) Castleton. They will then welcome Farmingdale State and NCAA Division II Saint Michael's on Friday, Aug. 29, and Saturday, Aug. 30, respectively, to close out a three-game homestand to open the season.

The team begins September on the road with a match against Russell Sage on Friday, Sept. 5, before opening up SUNYAC play at home against New Paltz on Saturday, Sept. 13. The team then heads to Cortland for two SUNYAC matches as they take on Fredonia on Friday, Sept. 19 and close out the weekend against Cortland on Sept. 20.

Plattsburgh State concludes SUNYAC play on Friday, Sept. 26, and Saturday, Sept. 27, hosting Oswego State before traveling to Oneonta the next day to wrap up their regular season.

The top four teams in the final regular-season conference standings will qualify for the SUNYAC Tournament, with the semifinals set for Oct. 17 and the championship match slated for Oct. 18.
