Quinn Mustone scored the opening goal for the Cadets 2:13 into the game and Norwich followed that up with three more goals before Garcia finally got the Cardinals on the board with less than 20 seconds remaining after a Norwich green card gave Plattsburgh an extra-player up opportunity. Barnosky tallied the assist on the goal after driving from the right side to the x position and found a cutting Garcia on the doorstep for the goal, making the score 4-1 Cadets at the end of the first.
The Cadets scored the next six goals with two coming from Moriarty before Plattsburgh responded with back-to-back goals from Barnoksy and Maurer. Barnoksy backed her defender down using a spin move to free herself for the unassisted score. Maurer found herself unguarded right in front of the goalie and after an easy pass from Barnosky was able to put in another goal for Plattsburgh that made the score 10-3 at halftime.
It was Maurer again as the Cardinals opened the scoring after the break when Maurer scooped up the ground ball of her first shot attempt and scored on her second. However, the Cadets went on a 4-0 scoring run that saw two goals from Fielder before Barnosky netted the final goal of the game as Plattsburgh fell 14-5.
Bailey Manning-Ingals made eight saves in 60 minutes of action and earned the win in net for Norwich.
