PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State Athletics will host its Annual Rock the Red Weekend on Friday, Jan. 31, and Saturday, Feb. 1, encouraging fans to attend home basketball and ice hockey contests wearing red.

Free t-shirts will be given to the first 200 current SUNY Plattsburgh students (with valid student ID) at the women's and men's basketball games on Friday, Jan. 31 at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., as well as at the women's and men's ice hockey games on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 and 7 p.m.

The men's ice hockey game on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. will also be the annual Stress Ball Night, as they take on Oswego State. A total of 700 stress balls will be sold for $1 each, with all proceeds going to the SUNY Plattsburgh Food Shelf. After the first Plattsburgh State goal, fans are encouraged to throw all the red stress balls they purchased onto the ice. Only the specially purchased red stress balls are allowed to be thrown onto the ice. No objects, including the red stress balls, should be thrown on the ice at any other time during the game.
