Plattsburgh moves to 2-8 overall (0-3 SUNYAC) and next hosts Brockport on Wednesday, Apr 10 with the first draw control in the air at 3 pm. Geneseo moves to 7-3 overall (3-1 SUNYAC) and next travels to St. John Fisher on Tuesday, Apr 9 with the first draw control in the air at 4 pm.

The Knights outscored the Cardinals in the first 8-0 as they took a multi goal lead into the second quarter. Eight turnovers for the Cardinals was detrimental to their offense as they only got two shots in the first.

The Cardinals didn't register any shots in the second quarter but limited the Knights to six goals off of 12 shots which was the most shots of any quarter by the Knights. The Cardinal netminder came away with three saves and the defense caused two turnovers as the Cardinals went to the locker room down 14-0 at the end of the second.

The third quarter was the Cardinals best chance to score as they drew two yellow cards on the Knights and posted four shots, the most of any quarter for them, but none made their way into the net as they were held scoreless by the Knights. The Cardinals were perfect on clear attempts this quarter and only had three turnovers. Despite the Cardinals offensive pressure picking up, the Knights offense was still rolling as they tacked on four more goals and went into the final quarter with an 18-0 lead.

The fourth quarter saw the Knights put in four more goals and complete the shut out as the Cardinals only had one shot that was saved and fell 22-0 in SUNYAC action.
