Just before the 10
th minute of action in the first period, the Cardinals were once again on the power play and this time Pazmandi was the beneficiary of the Plattsburgh advantage, tallying the first score of her college career. Working the puck around the outside of the Bengal's defense, Wasik passed to Masotta who attempted a long shot from the right faceoff circle. The shot was saved, but Pazmandi corralled the rebound and scored with the goalie out of position.
The second period saw three Plattsburgh goals as they pulled away and built a strong cushion over Buffalo State, scoring all three goals in less than a minute. Thompson notched the first goal of the period just before the four-minute mark of action, as

Working on the power play less than thirty seconds later, the Cards tallied another goal, as Pazmandi picked up her second score of the game. On the goal, Masotta registered her second assist of the game, giving her 100 collegiate points between her time at Norwich and Plattsburgh. After passes from both Wasik and Masotta, Pazmandi skated nearly the entire length of the ice, skating past several defenders before finishing around the Bengal goalie for her second goal of the game.
The final goal of the second period came from Longuemare, as she scored her first college goal off a Boric shot that was saved. After Boric intercepted a pass in the Plattsburgh offensive zone, she attempted a backhanded shot from the left faceoff circle, which was saved but controlled by Longuemare, who shoveled the puck in for the goal.
Masotta scored the final tally for Plattsburgh just over 12 minutes through the third period, as the Cards cruised to their second win of the season with the 6-0 win.
