LEXINGTON, S.C. – The Plattsburgh State baseball team finished their series against Oswego State with two losses on Sunday at Lexington Stadium.
Plattsburgh State is now 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the SUNYAC while Oswego improves to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
GAME ONE: Plattsburgh State 0, Oswego 7
Oswego started off strong recording four runs in the first inning off a two-run double to left center and a two-run single up the middle.
The Lakers recorded two more runs in the second off a single up the middle and a passed ball.
They scored their seventh run in the third off a sacrifice fly.
Plattsburgh State recorded three hits.

Patrick Bryant (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) pitched 2.1 innings and allowed six hits, seven runs, walked five and struck out one.
Senior
Ryan Whalen (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh) pitched 3.2 innings and walked one.
GAME TWO: Plattsburgh State 4, Oswego 12
Oswego started off strong again, scoring three runs in the first off a homerun.
The Lakers scored six in the third off a three-run triple, two doubles and a single.
They recorded two more in the fourth off a walk and a two-run single.

Jordan Godfrey (Castleton, Vt./Rutland) doubled to left field to plate junior
Stephen Bryant (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) and Godfrey scored off a balk in the sixth.
Freshmen
Jake Hutton (Albany, N.Y./ Colonie) scored in the seventh off a single from S. Bryant and sophomore
Anthony Maag (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) scored off a wild pitch in the ninth to make it 12-4.
The Cardinals could not complete the comeback and took the eight-run loss.

PJ Weeks (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) pitched 2.1 innings and gave up seven hits, nine runs, walked one and struck out four.
