PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Senior guard
Eli Bryant (Staten Island, N.Y./Michael J. Petrides School) came of the bench to record 22 points and nine assists to aid the Plattsburgh State men's basketball team to a 104-76 win over Potsdam Friday night inside Memorial Hall.
Plattsburgh State advances to 18-4 overall and 15-1 in the SUNYAC while Potsdam moves to 10-13, 5-11 in the conference.
Junior forward
Jonathan Patron (Huntington, N.Y. / Harborfields) led the Cardinals with 32 points and senior guard
Eric Mack (Roosevelt, N.Y./Baldwin) had 13. Junior guard/forward
Chris Middleton (New York, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) and junior forward
Ian Howard (Queens, N.Y./Springfield Gardens) each picked up nine rebounds and Patron had seven.
The Cardinals recorded a 41.9% in three-pointers including five from Bryant. They improved their free throw percentage form 79.3% in the first half to 92.31% in the second, only missing one.
Potsdam had the lead for the first four minutes then it was a back and forth affair until 14:04 left in the first half when the Cardinals took and kept the lead.

Brandon Johnson (Greenburgh, N.Y./Woodlands), Bryant again and two free throws from Bryant.
Potsdam closed in and came within six points but the Cardinals gained their edge back and finished the half with jumpers from Patron and Middleton to head into halftime up 46-32.
The Cardinals went on a nine point run to take a 20 point advantage with 10:39 remaining in the game. Patron made four free throws, Middleton made two free throws and DeAngelis drained a three.
Plattsburgh State took their largest lead of 32 points with 1:29 left in the game thanks to two three-pointers by Bryant and sophomore guard

Potsdam drained a three, sophomore forward
Adam Jaquish (Moriah, N.Y./Moriah) put in a layup and Potsdam made another three to end the game and cut Plattsburgh States win to 28 points.
The Cardinals are back home Friday, Feb. 16, to host SUNY Oneonta at 7:30 p.m.
