BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's basketball team falls to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the conference after a 64-56 loss to The College at Brockport (4-5, 2-1) Friday night inside Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.

Ly'rell Walker (Yonkers, N.Y. / Roosevelt) led the Cardinals with 16 points and nine rebounds and added four assists and two steals.

Kelly Degnan (Irvington, N.Y. / Irvington) scored ten points, as did senior guard/forward
Bella DePasquale (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) who also picked up seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Plattsburgh State out-scored Brockport in the first quarter 14-12.
The first quarter was tied four time with the Cardinals leading for the majority.
Brockport tied the game 12-12 with 3:10 left but a jumper by Walker gave Plattsburgh State a two- point edge heading into the second quarter.
The Golden Eagles started the second quarter with a ten-point run.
DePasquale put in a layup to cut their lead to six but Brockport scored five more points for an 11-point advantage with 1:04 remaining and with 40 seconds left held a 12-point cushion.
Walker ended the quarter with a jumper to cut the lead to ten and Plattsburgh State headed into halftime down 30-20.
Brockport out-scored Plattsburgh State 22-14 in the third and headed into the final quarter up 52-34.
The Golden Eagles took their largest lead of 20-points with 5:49 left in the fourth quarter.
The Cardinals tried to rally in the fourth out-scoring Brockport 21-13 but it was not enough to overcome the deficit and they took the ten-point loss.
Plattsburgh State will continue SUNYAC play against No. 20 Geneseo Saturday at 2 p.m.
