PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's soccer team extended their win streak to eight after they beat Oneonta State 1-0 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tournament first round game Saturday afternoon at the Field House Complex.
Oneonta ends their season with an 8-9-1 overall record.
Plattsburgh State advances to the SUNYAC semifinal and improves their record to 13-5 overall.
The Cardinals dominated the first half out-shooting the Red Dragons 12-4, with seven shots being on net.
Plattsburgh State continued to lead Oneonta in shots well into the second half recording 9 to their 4.
In the 68th minute Oneonta had a handball inside the box that led to a Cardinal penalty kick.
Like déjà vu from last weekend's Buffalo State game, senior defender
Jessica Mangieri (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) stood one on one with the Red Dragon goalie and booted the ball into the back of the net for another game winner.

Taylor Adams (Schenectady, N.Y./Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons) logged her eighth clean sheet of the seaon making four saves in the 90:00 she played.
Plattsburgh State heads to Geneseo on Wednesday, Oct. 31, to face off in the SUNYAC semifinal game with the time to be determined.
The winner will advance to the SUNYAC final on Saturday, Nov. 3.
