OSWEGO, N.Y. – Cardinal defender Alyssa Parke posted two goals and two assists as nationally-ranked No. 6 Plattsburgh (11-3-2, 9-0-2 ECAC West) picked up a 5-0 win over Oswego State (7-7-2, 6-3-2 ECAC West) Saturday night at the Campus Center Arena. Both squads will face each other again at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
 
Plattsburgh jumped out an early lead when Justine Fisher pounced on a rebound following a shot by Chelsea VanGlahn 2:35 into the game.  The Cardinals took a two-goal advantage into the locker room at the first intermission thanks to Ashton Hogan's fourth goal of the season at the 17:54 mark with Parke earning the assist.
 
The Cardinals got their power-play unit rolling in the second period when they took 13 seconds to convert on an Oswego State tripping penalty.  Parke's blast from the blue line got through traffic to put Plattsburgh ahead 3-0 at the end of two periods. Allison Era was credited with an assist on the play.
 
The Lakers appeared to have momentum swinging back in their favor at the end of the second when the Cardinals were whistled for a penalty in the final minute of the stanza.  However, Parke intercepted a pass at neutral ice and fed the puck to Teal Gove, who skated in alone on Oswego State goalie Catherine Cote (So., Val, D'Or, Que.) at 1:24.  Parke added her second goal of the game when her slap shot from the center of the blue line slammed against the back of the net at 8:18 after receiving a series of passes from Era and Gove.
 
Cote ended the game with 28 saves on 31 shots, while Plattsburgh's Sydney Aveson recorded 19 saves for her fifth shutout of the year.
 
The Cardinals finished the game 2-for-4 with the extra attacker, while Oswego State went 0-for-6.
