BROCKPORT, N.Y.

Plattsburgh State (6-12, 3-9 SUNYAC) surrendered its lead with 5:23 left in the second half when Alwardt hit two free throws to make it 51-49. The Golden Eagles (5-14, 3-9) held the lead the rest of the way and made foul shots throughout to keep the Cardinals at bay.
