Women's Basketball Falls to Geneseo

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.--Brittany Finkle led three Blue Knights in double digits with 13 points to help visiting Geneseo to a 60-43 women's basketball win Friday over Plattsburgh State at Memorial Hall. The Blue Knights improve to 7-2 overall, including 2-0 in the State University of New York Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals drop to 2-6 and 0-3 in the SUNYAC.

Nora Campbell was the only Plattsburgh scorer in double digits with 11 points. Taylor Amarando pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds. Kerri Salisbury chipped in five assists.

Melissa Graham and Alyssa Polosky added 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Blue Knights, who held Plattsburgh to its lowest field goal shooting performance of the season at 28.3 percent. Graham, Polosky and Finkle all grabbed seven rebounds.

Plattsburgh committed 27 turnovers that resulted in 22 free points for Geneseo, which also outscored the Cardinals 28-16 in the paint.
