Taylor Amarando recorded her seventh double-double of the season to lead the Plattsburgh State women's basketball to victory over the visiting Potsdam Bears, 57-46. The Cardinals snap a 16-game losing streak with the win against their North Country and State University of New York Athletic Conference rival.
Plattsburgh rises to 3-19 for the season, 1-15 in the SUNYAC. Meanwhile, Potsdam drops to 7-16 overall, 6-10 in the conference.

Potsdam pulled out to an early seven-point lead in the first half, but Plattsburgh cut that down to one (14-15) with 10:30 left in the half after Kerri Salisbury sank a layup. Salisbury would toss up another shot a few seconds later to push the Cards ahead, 16-15. Plattsburgh would retain its advantage and enter halftime ahead, 28-25.
In the second half, Plattsburgh would hold the lead the entire 20 minutes and pull ahead by as much as 23 points twice. The Bears would whittled that lead down to 11, but never managed to rein it back into the single digits.
Plattsburgh closes out the season with two SUNYAC home games this weekend. The Cardinals take on Geneseo on Friday (6 p.m.) and Brockport on Saturday (2 p.m.).
