Amarando, who also dished four assists and had two steals, surpasses Vanessa Arthurton for ninth-place on the school's all-time scoring list with 783 points. Arthurton scored 763 from 2005-09.

Nora Campbell, who suffered a season-ending injury in last year's opener against the Cadets, added 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots for the Cardinals, who displayed excellent ball movement with 21 assists toward 29 field goals.

The Cadets were led by Karrisa Doyon with 18 points and eight rebounds and Christine Daniels hauled in a game-best 23 rebounds and scored 10 points.
