Lawson tallied a career-high two goals and one assist for a season-high three points to help Plattsburgh State extend its unbeaten streak to four games with a 7-5 win over SUNY Potsdam on Friday at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. Lawson scored his first goal of the game at 14:02 of the first period to increase Plattsburgh State's lead to 2-0. After Potsdam pulled within one goal with Plattsburgh State leading 3-2, Lawson scored his second goal of the night at 5:37 of the second period to make the score 4-2. He then tallied an assist on freshman defenseman Christian Dahl's first career goal, increasing the Cardinals' lead to 5-2 at 7:03 of the second period. He also recorded a +1 rating in the game. The three points are the second most for Lawson in his collegiate career. He tallied four points in a 12-4 win over Morrisville State on Friday, Nov. 13, 2017.
