Against Rusell Sage, Phelps' was one of the last singles matches to get started after she lost 6-7 (6-8) in a tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles. After her team was able to tie the score 3-3 in singles action, it came down to her match at No. 6 singles for the win, where she won 7-6 (7-4), 6-2.Â
