John Hayes had an outstanding offensive weekend to open his 2023 season, scoring three goals in two games. In the team's opener versus Clarkson, Hayes gave his team a 2-0 lead in the second half with his first goal of the year. Against Utica, Hayes scored twice in the second half, posting his second career brace against the Pioneers in the Card's 3-0 win.
