Plattsburgh State Athletics

Mitchell tallied two goals, including the game-winning goal in overtime, four shots on goal and a +2 rating to propel Plattsburgh State men's ice hockey to a 4-3 overtime victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering in the FirstLight Shootout at Middlebury College's Chip Kenyon '85 Arena on Saturday. Mitchell scored his first goal of the game at 7:34 of the second period to give Plattsburgh State a 3-2 lead. After MSOE tied the game and forced overtime, Mitchell scored the game-winning goal at 1:13 of overtime to make the final score 4-3. Mitchell finished the week by tallying one blocked shot against then-No. 6 Norwich University as part of the FirstLight Shootout on Sunday.
