Katonka tallied a hat trick in leading No. 1 Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey to a 5-1 win over SUNY Cortland on Saturday afternoon at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. Katonka scored the Cardinals' first and second goals of the game on the power play at 13:50 and 15:40 of the first period, respectively, to give Plattsburgh State a 2-0 lead. Shen then completed the hat trick with an even-strength goal at 19:51.5 of the second period to make the score 5-0. Katonka also recorded a +2 rating and one blocked shot. With her three points, Katonka moved into 12th place on the Cardinals' career points list with 121 career points (67 goals, 54 assists). With the win, Plattsburgh State extended its NCAA Division III women's ice hockey record home-winning streak to 41 games.
