Jonathan Edwards begins his seventh year as an assistant athletic trainer at Plattsburgh State in 2025-26.
Edwards previously worked at NCAA Division I Lafayette College in various athletic training capacities from 2013-19, including four years as an assistant athletic trainer. During his time at Lafayette, he provided coverage and care for all 22 varsity sports and had travel coverage responsibility for football, men's basketball, track and field/cross country, baseball, and field hockey during different points of his tenure.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in athletic training from SUNY Cortland in 2012 and his Master of Science in athletic training – advanced clinical practice from East Stroudsburg University in 2014. Edwards is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association.
