Dawnisha Franklin enters her first year as an Athletic Communications Associate and her third year overall at Plattsburgh State in 2025-26.
Prior to coming to Plattsburgh, Franklin interned with the Sports Information Office at Anna Maria College from August 2021 to May 2022. While working for the office as an undergraduate student, she handled play-by-play duties for webcasts, compiled and distributed statistics, and worked with Adobe, InDesign, Photoshop, and PrestoSports Stat software. Franklin also assisted with the promotion of all NCAA sports and game day operations including managing the press box and student workers.
After graduating from Anna Maria, Franklin was a game day operations staff intern for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans from July to November of 2022, where she assisted in the operational and logistical needs of events and helped coordinate event facility setup and cleanup. Â
Most recently, Franklin was a Resident Director at Dean College, where she acted as the primary contact for assigned residence halls. Additionally, Franklin managed the operations of the halls and educated the students on the rules and regulations of the college, while also enforcing them.
Franklin earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Anna Maria College in May 2022, where she played both women's basketball and lacrosse.
