Kelci Henn begins her sixth season as a member of the tennis staff in 2025-26, working as the Coordinator of Tennis for the 25-26 campaign.

Plattsburgh returned to playoff action for the first time since 2017 under Henn in 2024-25, earning the fourth seed in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) playoffs. The Cardinals fell in the first round to the SUNYAC Champs, New Paltz, finishing the season with a record of 7-6 (2-3 SUNYAC). Plattsburgh had four individuals earn All-SUNYAC honors, with the doubles pairing of Kristy Cantwell and Hallie Hurwitz earning First Team honors. Sophia Gottschall and Megan Phelps each earned two Second Team Distinctions, first as a doubles pairing and then as singles competitors. Gottschall also went on to earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades.

The Cardinals posted an 8-6 record under Henn in 2023-24, as the team finished 8-6 and 2-5 in SUNYAC play. Henn coached the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in Jacklin Mitchell, the first Rookie of the Year in program history, as the first-year was 10-1 on the season. The Svantner triplets, Jacqueline, Nicole, and Samantha, were each named to the CSC All-District team as well.

Henn once again coached the Cardinals to a winning season in 2022-23, as the team finished 7-5 overall (3-4 SUNYAC) and came within one spot of qualifying for postseason play. Nicole Svantner earned her second consecutive Second-Team All-SUNYAC singles honor following the conclusion of the season.

In 2021-22, Henn coached the Cardinals to their sixth straight winning season, as the team finished 8-7 and came within one spot of qualifying for the SUNYAC Tournament with a 3-4 record in conference matches. Henn also coached one All-SUNYAC singles selection in Nicole Svantner, who was a second-team selection, and one All-SUNYAC doubles team selection, as Nicole and Samantha Svantner were second-team honorees.

Before being named head coach, Henn served as the Cardinals’ director of tennis operations in 2020-21. Henn was part of the coaching staff that led the Cardinals to a thrilling 5-4 victory over SUNY Cortland in 2020-21. Plattsburgh State came within just one point of beating the Red Dragons when they matched up two weeks later.

She competed for the Cardinals as an undergraduate student-athlete from 2015-18, helping Plattsburgh State go 33-20 overall and make three State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament appearances. During her senior season in 2018, Henn went 9-4 in singles, playing primarily at the No. 2 spot in the lineup and 9-4 at No. 1 doubles.

A native of Mastic Beach, N.Y., Henn earned her Bachelor of Science in fitness and wellness leadership in 2019 and her Master of Science in student affairs and higher education in 2021, both from SUNY Plattsburgh.
