Plattsburgh State Athletics

2013 (Sophomore): Increased nearly all of her statistical totals from her leadoff collegiate campaign while taking part in all but three of the Cardinals' 18 games... came through with her first goal of the season during a 2-1 loss at Mount St. Mary (9/14)... strung together a two-game point streak to close out the season beginning with her lone assist in the 3-2 setback against SUNY Geneseo (10/26)... racked up her second goal of 2013 during the Cardinals' 11-0 blasting of Norwich to conclude the season (10/29).

2012 (Freshman): Panned out to be one of a long list of capable options off of the bench for the Cardinals during her first season of her collegiate career... one of 10 Cardinals who were inserted into every one of the 18 engagements in 2012... came off the bench to receive her first taste of collegiate action in the season opener against Johnson State (9/1)... earned her first call-up to the starting lineup against Oswego State (9/29)... turned in the best performance of her inaugural season with a one goal, one assist game against Norwich (10/24) that accounted for her total 2012 point harvest... amassed 14 shots including six on goal.

High School: Lettered four years in soccer at Stone Bridge High School and Somers High School … at Somers High her team was all-league and all-section … State Champions at Stone Bridge High School in 2009.
 

Personal: Born Melissa Ann Rodriguez on May 12, 1994 in Cortland, N.Y. … daughter of Diego and Kathy … special education major and early childhood education minor.
