2009-10 (Junior): Played on Cardinals' starting defensive unit...led ECAC-West defenseman with a career-high 19 assists...named first-team All-ECAC-West and second-team RBK/American College Hockey Association All-American.

2008-09 (Sophomore): Repeated 1+5=6 scoring totals from freshman campaign...Academic All-ECAC West and All-SUNYAC teams...played in all 29 games...four points in 18 conference dates.    

2007-08 (Freshman): Played in all 29 games...ranked fourth in the conference among first-year defensemen with six points...collected an overall plus-20 rating...scored first collegiate goal in an 8-0 win over Cortland (Feb. 8)...helped anchor a defense that allowed just 1.10 goals per game...had five assists.

Before Plattsburgh: Played six years for Syracuse Stars, winning five state championships and a national title in 2004

Personal: Born Kara Elizabeth Buehler on March 5, 1989 in Syracuse, N.Y…parents are James and Martha…history education major with minor studies in coaching and geography.
