Plattsburgh State Athletics

2014-15 (JUNIOR):  Had a great junior campaign that included the ECAC West and NCAA Tournament MVPs… was announced the 2014-15 NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Elite 89 winner… averaged over a point per game with 32 points on 17 goals and 15 assists in 28 games… tied for a team-high five game-winners including a game-winner against Elmira in the ECAC West Championship game… scored a short-handed goal in the NCAA Division III National Championship game against Elmira.

2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): Netted 14 goals and collected 15 assists for 29 points… played in all 30 games for the Cardinals… tied for a team-high five game-winners including two of them against non-conference rival Middlebury… assisted on the overtime game-winner against Elmira on Feb. 8, 2014.

2012-13 (FRESHMAN): The first year forward played in 22 out of the 30 games for the Cardinals… scored two goals and collected nine assists for 11 points… scored her first collegiate goal against 


Before Plattsburgh: Played for the Chicago Mission Tier 1 AAA hockey team ... won the bronze medal in 2010 at the Tier 1 National Championships and the silver medal in 2012 ... received one varsity letter in track and field as a sprinter as Hampshire High.

Personal: Born Giovanna Tomaidi Senese on March 1, 1993 in Chicago, Ill. ... daughter of Victor and Cathy Senese ... enjoys water sports, camping with the family and travelling around the United States ... double major in mathematics and physics.
