Plattsburgh State Athletics

2014-15 (Senior): Closed out her career by providing a veteran presence off the bench for the squad... received playing time in 23 of the Cardinals' 26 bouts and made her lone start in a home SUNYAC bout against SUNY Geneseo (2/21)... reset her career high in scoring by slinging in nine points in a Memorial Hall SUNYAC win over Buffalo State in which she also hauled in a season-high six rebounds (1/30).

2013-14 (Junior): Began her days as an upperclassman by being called on to enter 15 of the Cardinals' 29 games off of the bench... turned in her best performance of the season in her Memorial Hall action of the season by scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds in a win over Morrisville State (11/23)... logged a season best 13 minutes of playing time in a home win over New Paltz in which she tallied two points as well as two boards (2/1).

2012-13 (Sophomore): Continued to be counted on as a useful frontcourt option off of the bench... volunteered her basketball services in 22 of the 27 games the Cardinals played... promoted to the starting lineup for the only time against Skidmore (12/30)... recorded a season-high six points on two occasions - both of while yielded Plattsburgh State victories - including a 3-of-3 night from the field against SUNY Potsdam (1/22)... grabbed a season-high seven rebounds while battling Oneonta State (1/18)... increased her point production to two per outing while improving her field goal accuracy by nearly 20 percent from a season ago.

2011-12 (Freshman): Made 24 appearances, starting twice...made collegiate debut against St. Lawrence (Nov. 29) and made first career start against New Paltz (Dec. 6)...third on the team in rebounds with 82, averaged 3.4 rebounds per game...grabbed 10 rebounds against Oswego (Jan. 27) and recorded nine rebounds against Potsdam (Feb. 10).

High School: Played basketball at Marlboro High School under Scott Degorge earning three varsity letters … all-academic team, MHAL team, and all-tournament team in the Goshen Winter Special … member of national honors society and top 20 in graduating class.

Personal: Born Yazmin Petra Lewis on May 18, 1993 in Marlboro, N.Y. … daughter of Julio Vega … is majoring in human development and family relations at Plattsburgh State… enjoys writing, dancing, and laughing.
