Biography
2012-13 (Senior): Stood at the head of the line in the Cardinals' frontcourt rotation during her final collegiate campaign... started in 20 and participated in all 27 of Plattsburgh State's bouts against the opposition... started her final year with a bang by scoring a career-high 19 points in the Cardinals' season-opener at Sage (11/15)... posted her only double-double of the season by scoring 13 points and hauling down a career-high 13 rebounds against New Paltz (1/18)... attained the fifth-highest scoring average on the team (5.1 points per game).
2011-12 (Junior): Appeared 25 times, starting 21 ...second on the team in rebounding with 127 rebounds and averaged 5.1 per game ... 93 of her 127 rebounds came on the defensive glass ... recorded a double-double against Fredonia (Feb. 4) after scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds and another one against Potsdam (Feb.10) with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
2010-11 (Sophomore): Appeared in 24 games, starting in eight, in first full season with the Cardinals … Ranked fifth-highest on the team with four points per game … Scored season-high seven points at New Paltz (Jan. 29) … Led team in rebounding three times, including a season-high 11 rebounds at Buffalo State. Also scored 11 points for a double-double (Feb. 18).
2009-10 (Freshman): Appeared in 12 contests as a mid-season addition ... made Cardinals debut on Jan. 15 against Cortland ... had five points and five rebounds versus Buffalo State (Feb. 6) ... played two games (one 3-point field goal attempt and two rebounds) for Hendrix in the fall semester.
Before Plattsburgh: Competed in field hockey (3 games) at NCAA Division III Hendrix College located in Conway, Ark., during the fall of 2009.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in basketball at Valhalla ... earned three letters in field hockey ... captained the basketball team during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons ... named all-section and all-league in 2008 for basketball ... then chosen all-section honorable mention, all-league and league MVP in 2009 ... two-time all-league for field hockey in 2008-09.
Personal: Born Dana Joan Nucaro on July 27, 1991 in Valhalla, N.Y. ... daughter of Frank and Paula Nucaro ... sister, Alyssa, played basketball at Rhodes College for three years ... business major with a minor in sociology.
