Keith Wasberg begins his third season as the women's basketball assistant coach in 2024-25.
In his third with the team, Wasberg was fundamental in player development efforts for both guards and posts helping the team see increases in shooting percentage from the field overall as well as behind the arc. He helped coach the Cardinals All-SUNYAC selection in senior guard/forward Payton Couture as she shot a career-best from the field this season. Wasberg was also involved with scouting and film breakdown as the Cardinals' defense saw improvements in lowering opponents' points per game and field goal percentages.Â
Wasberg continued to work as a player developmental coach for both guards and posts. In his second year with the team, the Cardinals saw increases in two-point field goal percentages, three-point field goal percentages, and free throw percentages.Â
In his first year with the team, Wasberg helped with shooting-specific player development and helped the team see an increase in points per game.Â
Prior to coming to Plattsburgh, Wasberg was a girls' basketball team coach, training, and event scheduler for Tree of Hope Pacific in Newcastle, Washington, working in that position from 2018 until being hired at Plattsburgh. He was also the head varsity coach for girls basketball at Mount Rainier High School for three seasons and had the same role at Tahoma Senior High School from May of 2008 to March of 2015.
