Biography
2015-16 (Senior): Started 17 games and appeared in all 25 games for Plattsburgh State… averaged a 43% field goal percentage… put up 10.2 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game… named to the 2015 Cardinal Classic All-Tournament team… selected Third Team All-SUNYAC… finished her overall career with 1,362 points.
2014-15 (Junior): Burst onto the scene and quickly became one of the integral cogs for the Cardinals during her first season at an NCAA institution... just two other Cardinals put up a better scoring average than her 11.2 markers per game which was the 18th-highest among all SUNYAC student-athletes... was one of five Cardinals who played in all 26 games and appeared in the starting lineup no fewer than 17 times... scored 10 or more points on 15 separate occasions which included a career-best 21 both at home and on the road against New Paltz (12/5 & 2/7)... turned in her first-ever double-double effort as a Cardinal by netting 12 points and hauling in a career-best 13 rebounds as part of a SUNYAC win at SUNY Potsdam (2/17)... finished the season with 18 blocked shots - the second-highest total on the team... just two Cardinals owned a better field goal percentage than her mark of 41.3.
Prior to Plattsburgh State: Engaged in collegiate basketball warfare for a pair of seasons with the Onondaga Community College women's basketball squad and turned out quite the impressive junior college career... collected a bevy of individual honors which included a spot on the National All-Tournament Team and the All-Region Second Team as well as a Mid-State Athletic Conference Tournament MVP nod.
High School: Reigned as the starting shooting guard for Hannibal Central School for four seasons and by the time her prep career was a matter of record had led her team to the apex of Section III Class B girl's basketball... constructed a memorable senior campaign which was capped with a Section III Class B Championship... as well as helping her team secure the crown, was on the receiving end of Section III All-Tournament Team MVP honors... selected for a spot on the All-League First Team at the conclusion of her final prep campaign... an accomplished student-athlete, also collected a pair of varsity letters in soccer and four more on the softball diamond... suited up with the AAU's Ontario Storm for four seasons.
Personal: Born Alexandra Marie Taylor on September 20, 1994, in Franklin, Pa. ... daughter of Blair Taylor and Jill Hughes... brother, Blair, played football at Onondaga Community College from 2011-2013... enjoys playing sports... plans to major in hospitality management at Plattsburgh State.
