Biography

2012 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 38 games, mostly as a designated player...recorded 24 hits and four home runs...named to the NCAA Regional Tournament Team after notching six RBI.

2011 (FRESHMAN): Played in 11 games, starting seven of them... finished the season with three hits and an RBI in 27 at-bats.

Before Plattsburgh: Played two years of soccer, two years of basketball and four years of softball at Elwood-John Glenn High School in East Northport, N.Y....named softball team MVP four times...also a two-time All-Division selection (2008, 2009), First Team All County selection (2010), First Team All Long Island pick (2010) and field Player of the Year (2010)...led all Long Island players in home runs in 2010...soccer and basketball teams were league champions in 2009...played for Long Island Silver Bullets national travel team from 2004-2010.

Personal: Born Samantha Adele Capobianco on Aug. 23, 1992, in Huntington, N.Y....parents are Frank and Kathryn...brother Nick Capobianco played football at Merrimack College (Division II)...psychology major.
