Jessica Miller

After serving as the assistant coach for three seasons, Jessica Miller enters her first year as head coach in 2025.

In her first season as head coach in 2025, Miller helped lead the Cardinals to a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) playoff appearance. The Cardinals finished 10-26 overall, but were 7-11 in conference play, allowing them to earn the sixth and final playoff spot. Carly Gemmett had a breakout season in the circle for the Cardinals under Miller's tutelage, with her strikeouts per seven innings mark ranking in the top 20 nationally.

After the conclusion of the 2024 season, Miller has helped mentor five position players to six All-SUNYAC honors in her time, with most recently first-year Sara Isaacs picking up second-team honors in 2024. Miller helped coach the four hitters that earned All-Conference honors in 2023, as Rebecca Diller and Claire Palmer were first-team selections and Kristen Langdon and Kristina Maggiacomo were second-team honorees. Landon, who is third all-time in batting average in program history, was also a second-team All-Conference selection in 2022, working under Coach Miller. Palmer finished fourth in batting average in program history, playing all three of her seasons under Miller's tutelage.

Miller graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2021, where she played for four seasons for the Red Dragon Softball team. In her senior season, Miller hit .286, slugged two homers, drove in 19 runs, and had 26 hits over 30 games, winning the SUNYAC championship in 2019.

Miller also has experience training players privately, working with athletes to give them a personalized plan to help them reach their goals in the areas of hitting and infield and outfield defense.

Miller earned her degree in physical education from Cortland in 2021 and is currently working towards her master's degree in fitness and wellness leadership at Plattsburgh.
