High School: Competed in soccer (four years), basketball (four years), and baseball (two years) at John J. Miller Great Neck North High School... For soccer, was named All-Conference as a junior and ranked second in Nassau County in saves... as a senior, was team captain, and named All-County and First-Team All-Long Island, and was part of a Nassau County Class A Champion team... Played club soccer for Great Neck Soccer Club (13 years) and Long Island Soccer Club EDP (three years).

Personal: Son of Berry Heimowitz and Julia Gavriel... Enjoys soccer, basketball, baseball, frisbee and golf.
