Malcolm Calbert

Malcolm Calbert begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Plattsburgh State men’s soccer team in 2015.

A native of Monona, Wis., Calbert attended Loras College in Iowa and emerged as a star for the Duhawks’ men’s soccer squad from 2008-12. During that period, Calbert helped the squad go 96-20-7 en route to a no. 2 national ranking following the 2012 campaign.

During Calbert’s playing career, the Duhawks made a pair of appearances in the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Final Four. The team captain also secured a multitude of individual awards thanks to his on-field efforts which included a pair of NCAA Division III North All-Region Team selections and two Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) First-Team picks.

Following his graduation from Loras, Calbert obtained an internship for the USHL’s Fighting Saints where he trained and led the intern staff in ticket sales and creation of game day promotions. Additionally, Calbert interned with David Baldwin, the president of Bradford City England FC in 2013-14.
