Tristan Dougherty, a four-year student-athlete at NCAA Division I Hobart College, completed his first season as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Plattsburgh State in 2020.

Dougherty most recently competed for the Statesmen from 2016-19, helping Hobart go 34-29 overall. He helped fortify the Statesmen's defense as a goalie, and he served as a captain during his senior year in 2019. Dougherty made a career-high 14 saves on Feb. 10, 2018, against then-No. 12 Penn State University.

A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Dougherty earned undergraduate degrees in history and religious studies from Hobart in 2019.
