Larry Allen is in his eighth season on the Plattsburgh State men's lacrosse coaching staff, working primarily with the Cardinals defensemen and midfielders.
He works at the College as the Director of Student Conduct and has been at Plattsburgh since June 2007.
Allen received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2000 from LeMoyne College (Syracuse, N.Y.), where he played for four years at defensive midfielder for the NCAA Division II Dolphins.
Allen gained a master’s degree in education in counseling and human development from St. Lawrence University in 2003.
In 2000, he returned to Potsdam High School, his prep alma mater, to be the defensive coordinator for one year. From 2001-2003, he served as the assistant coach and defense coordinator at SUNY Canton under Jim Nee. Allen was promoted to head coach of the then-Northstars in 2003, leading the then-junior college program for the next two years.
