Plattsburgh State Athletics

2010-11 (Junior): Appeared in 25 games for the Cardinals … Notched one goal and five assists for six points … Scored a short-handed goal at Skidmore College (Dec. 7) … Helped anchor a defense that allowed just 2.5 goals per game.

2009-10 (Sophomore): Enjoyed a career year as the Cardinals' top scoring blueliner with two goals and 16 assists...assist toal ranked third in the SUNYAC...earned SUNYAC Player of the Week honors Jan. 25 after a one goal, two assist performance in a 7-1 win over Brockport.

2008-09 (Freshman): Contributed an assist in nine games...made his collegiate debut on Nov. 1 against Buffalo State, with two shots...notched first career point in an 8-3 win at Morrisville State on Nov. 8.  

Before Plattsburgh: Played for District 10 Bulldogs in 2007-08...won Massachusetts state championship...attended high school at Woburn Memorial in Woburn, Mass....four-year letterman in hockey under coach Jim Duran, a former all-SUNYAC player for the Cardinals from 1988-92...also played baseball and ran cross country...three-time all-star...two-time first team all-Middlesex League...2005 & 2007 Division I North Champions...also played one year at Winchendon School. 

Personal: Born Matthew Norman MacLeod on Feb. 15, 1989 in Winchester, Mass....parents are Scott and Jean MacLeod...nickname is Matty...criminal justice major.
