2024-25 (Senior): Appeared in 23 games... Tallied seven points with five assists and two goals... Scored both of his goals in the SUNYAC Championship game against Oswego State on Mar. 8... Had 62 face-off wins on the season.

2023-24 (Junior): Appeared in 21 games... Tallied four assists throughout the year, also adding one goal... Had 63 face-off wins and was +5 on the season... Scored his first career goal in Plattsburgh's first game of the season against Saint Anselm on Oct. 27, which was the game-winning goal.

2022-2023 (Sophomore): Appeared in seven games... Recorded an assist against Fredonia on Nov. 18.

2021-2022 (First-Year student): Appeared in eight games... Tallied first career assist against Middlebury on Jan. 14.

Before Plattsburgh State: Competed for the Cranbrook Bucks (BCHL) in 2020-21... Played prep hockey for the Titlton School in 2018-19 and 2019-20... Also spent time attending Malden Catholic and Lynnfield High School... Named Hockey Night in Boston Top-Defenseman (2019)... Part of the 2016-17 Catholic Conference Championship team, 2018-19 NEPSAC Small School Championship team and 2019-20 Lakes Region Conference Championship team... Also played football, golf, and baseball in high school.

Personal: Son of Robert Benson and Marini Torres-Benson... Mother (Nani) ran track and field at Villanova University (1985-89) and qualified for the 1988 Olympics... Father (Bob) played ice hockey at Merrimack College (1980-84) and was a co-captain in 1984... Brother (Robert) ran cross country at Bowdoin College (2011)... Sister (Scout) played soccer at Bryant University (2012-16), and played professionally for the Boston Breakers as well as internationally for the Puerto Rican National Soccer Team... Enjoys boating, surfing and golfing with his friends in his spare time.
