2017-18 (senior): Second-Team All-SUNYAC... Played in all 26 games for the Cardinals... Ranked fifth in the conference in scoring among defensemen (0.69 points per game) and tied for 16th in the SUNYAC in assists (15)... Finished the year with 18 points on three goals and 15 assists... Scored two shorthanded goals during the season... Had a pair of three-point games, first posting three assists on Nov. 3 against Morrisville State before scoring a goal and adding two assists against Wesleyan University on Jan. 16.

2016-17 (junior): Appeared in 26 games... Tied for second on the team in points (21)... Tied for 12th in the nation in points among defensemen... Team leader in assists (15)... Logged four multi-point games this year... Provided two assists in a 4-3 win over Cortland on Nov. 18... Scored a goal against Williams on Jan. 14... Third team AHCA All-American... First Team SUNYAC All-Conference.. Plattsburgh State Male Co-Athlete of the Year.

2015-16 (sophomore): The second year defenseman suited up in 25 of 27 games for the Cardinals… scored three goals, one on the power play and added eight assists for 11 points… was named to PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut & W.B. Mason Winter Classic all-tournament teams.

2014-15 (freshman): Rookie defenseman suited up in 24 games for the Cardinals… was tied for second on the team among defensemen for points with 13 (3 G’s, 10 A’s)… scored the game-winner against SUNY Cortland on Feb. 21, 2015.

Before Plattsburgh State: Attended Holy Cross Academy in Ontario… Lettered twice in hockey and once in soccer… Made the quarterfinals of the OFSAA… Played nine years on the Vaughn Kings and three years on the Mississauga Chargers.
 
Personal: Son of Darrio and Linda Valente… Enjoys soccer and the Buffalo Bills.
