Biography

2014-15 (Junior): Upped the ante - by a considerable margin - from three-point land and earned a spot among the nation's most accurate long-range bombers before all was said and done in his inaugural season as an upperclassman... laced triples at an eye-popping rate of 50.4-percent (57-for-113) - a mark which was unrivaled in the SUNYAC and which was the second-best single-season percentage in Plattsburgh State history... finished the year ranked third in the SUNYAC in terms of three-pointers per game (2.3)... ranked fourth on the squad in scoring, averaging 9.0 points per game... played in all but two of the Cardinals' 27 contests and hit at least one three-pointer in 23 of those 25 appearances... submitted a double-double - his first ever as a collegiate student-athlete - in a road win at Lycoming (11/16) where he netted 10 points and hauled in a career-high 11 rebounds... piled up 10 or more points in a game on no fewer than 10 separate occasions... eclipsed the 20-point mark on one occasion by pumping in a team-high 23 points as part of a SUNYAC road victory at Buffalo State (1/10)... saw a streak of 44 consecutive games started come to an end after suffering a nagging injury in the later stages of the season.

2013-14 (Sophomore): Further cemented his reputation as a dangerous long-range asset during a breakout sophomore campaign... boasted a points per game average of 10.9 - the fifth-highest figure among the Plattsburgh State ranks... forced his was into the starting lineup during 25 of the Cardinals' 30 tilts and was one of five players to take part in every game... was tops among all SUNYAC student-athletes in terms of three-pointers made per game (2.7)... finished third in the 10-team SUNYAC in terms of overall three-point field goal percentage (.375)... led the Cardinals in three-pointers made (81) and attempted (216)... entered 20-point territory for the first time with a then-career high 22-point performance in a win at NESCAC foe Middlebury (1/7)... embarked on a stretch of six consecutive confrontations with at least 11 points beginning in a home win over SUNY Cortland (2/14) and concluding with a triumph over SUNY Geneseo in the SUNYAC Championship Tournament Semifinals (2/28)... went on to reset his career high on four occasions, the most recent of which occured when he torched SUNYAC enemy Fredonia State for 26 on 9-of-15 shooting including an 8-of-13 mark from downtown (2/21).

2012-13 (Freshman): Earned the distinction of being the only true freshman to take part in all 29 engagements for the Cardinals... received the first of two promotions to the starting lineup at Oswego State and had six points to show for it (11/30)... took up primary basketball residence behind the three-point stripe and finished with the third-most treys attempted on the squad (111)... competed for 13 minutes against Sage in his collegiate debut where he netted three points and grabbed a pair of rebounds (11/16)... compiled the fourth-best long ball percentage among the Cardinals (.324)... saved his best single-game performance for last, putting in a career-high 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting and hustling down four rebounds in an NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament second-round game at eventual national champion Amherst (3/9).

High School: Put his skills on display at Mount St. Michael for one season ... seized the MVP award in the Elmira Classic ... collected an All-Bronx first team award to add to his collection ... won a championship while playing for Rice High School - one of the best high school programs in the nation - in 2008.

Personal: Born Edward Correa on April 13, 1994, in Manhattan, N.Y. ... son of Minerva Acevedo ... enjoys singing .... majoring in criminal justice at Plattsburgh State.
