Plattsburgh State Athletics

2014-15 (Senior): Put the finishing touches on his collegiate basketball playing days by accepting another off-the-bench role for the Cardinals... registered playing time in all but four bouts throughout the season and played 10 or more minutes in six of those 23 appearances... corralled a season-best five rebounds in a road setback at Western Connecticut State (11/21)... racked up five points - a season high - in a home SUNYAC victory over SUNY Potsdam (1/20)... established a new career high with two steals in the aforementioned clash with SUNY Potsdam, too.

2013-14 (Junior): Became a far more integral part of the Cardinals' winning equation by appearing exclusively off the bench in all but two of the 30 Plattsburgh State tilts... saw 10 or more minutes of action in six games... delivered his highest-scoring outing of the season - and his career - by netting a game-high 14 points on 6-of-9 field goal shooting during a road triumph at SUNYAC rival Fredonia State (1/25)... added another double-digit scoring performance to his Plattsburgh State resume by pumping in 10 markers during the Cardinals' opening round victory over MIT in the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament... snared a season-high five rebounds in his third outing of the season - a home win over Keene State (12/3).

2012-13 (Sophomore): Transitioned nicely to his new collegiate basketball digs and became a capable fill-in among the Cardinals' front court rotation... saw court time in 18 of the 29 Plattsburgh State engagements... made a great first impression - to say the least - in his Plattsburgh State debut... netted a career-high 10 points, grabbed eight rebounds and turned aside a trio of opposing field goal attempts in the season opener against Sage (11/16)... as a result of his effort, received his only insertion into the starting lineup during the very next game against York (11/17).

Prior to Plattsburgh State: Sported a New Paltz uniform for the 2011-12 season before defecting to the Cardinals ... led the Hawks in blocked shots (18) during his inaugural collegiate campaign ... scored a career-high nine points on two occasions, including once against SUNYAC foe Oswego State on 1/13/12.

High School: Plied his basketball craft at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School for three seasons on the varsity squad ... named to the All-Island team ... was the recipient of the leadership award.

Personal: Born Alan R. Siergiej on April 12, 1993 in Brooklyn, N.Y. ... son of Robert and Krystyna Siergiej ... majoring in ecology at Plattsburgh State.
