Plattsburgh State Athletics

2010 (Junior Year): Began year on Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's "Players to Watch" list...received All-State University of New York Athletic Conference First Team and American Baseball Coaches' Association All-New York Second Team accolades...led the Cardinals in batting with a .392 average...set school single-season records for at-bats (158), runs scored (48), hits (62) and assists (144)...ranked in the top-5 of four SUNYAC statistical categories...SUNYAC All-Tournament performer while going 5-for-10 with two doubles in two games...became the 10th player in school history to reach the 100-hit plateau, getting the milestone during a 3-hit game against Brockport (May 7) in the opening round of the conference tournament...voted the Cardinal MVP...finished season with 263 career assists, which is third in team history...had percentages of .487 slugging (77 total bases) , .453 on-base and .946 fielding.   

2009 (Sophomore Year):  Was Cardinals' Newcomer of the Year after hitting .339 in 31 games...immediately became team's starting shortstop...40 hits were T-3rd on the team...recorded 49 total bases for a .415 slugging percentage...first on the team and second in SUNYAC with 119 assists, which was just five shy of the school record for a season...reached base 40.7 percent of the time...had 10 assists against Fredonia on April 19 to set a school record.   

Before Plattsburgh: Played one season of baseball at Clinton Community College in Plattsburgh, N.Y., for Coach Tom Neale...also played basketball for the Cougars...team MVP of 2008 baseball season.

High School: Played football (2 letters), basketball (3) and baseball (3) at Plattsburgh...baseball coach was Jim Manchester...earned all-conference honors in all three sports...a career .492 hitter...helped lead Hornets to three Section VII baseball championships...co-MVP of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference in 2007 senior year...2006 squad was regional champions and advanced to the final four in Class B...also member of two Section VII basketball title teams and was an all-state choice as a senior...fourth-team all-state as a junior and third team the following year...honor roll student every semester.
