Biography

2012 (Junior): Had the lowest ERA among all Cardinal pitchers with 1.80...appeared 10 times, starting twice...compiled a 2-2 record in 25 innings pitched.

2011 (Sophomore): Appeared in eight games … Made first collegiate start against Bethel (March 18) and took the loss … Earned first career win by throwing 6.1 innings of shutout ball with four strikeouts against Millikin (March 14) … Picked up another win in relief against Fredonia (April 9) … Collected one save with two innings of one-hit ball against New Paltz (March 29).

2010 (Freshman):  Posted lowest earned-run average among Cardinal pitchers who didn't have enough innings to qualify for SUNYAC rankings...made collegiate debut on March 19 against Minnesota-Morris, going 1.1 innings of scoreless relief...earned saves in back-to-back appearances against Saint Michael's (May 1) and Cortland (May 8)...also batted .235 in limited time at the plate (4-for-17).    

High School:  Lettered four times under coach Rico Frese at Maple Hill...helped team to 2009 Class C state championship as a senior...went went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI in the finals...a career .390 hitter and five home runs...second-team all-state in soccer, helping MHHS to the 2007 state title...also played two years of basketball...played club baseball for the East Greenbush Devilcats.

Personal:  Born Mike Robert Doughtie on March 1, 1991 in Albany, N.Y....parents are Mike and Michele...avid video gamer...business major.
