Plattsburgh State Athletics

2025 (Sophomore): Made nine appearances and six starts, finishing third on the team in both categories... Fourth on the team with 23.1 innings pitched... Earned two wins and had one save, striking out 23 batters during the season... In his first appearance of the season, picked up the saves against Penn State Berks with a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one... Pitched five solid innings in a start against NESCAC Champs Middlebury on 3/25, going five innings and allowing just two earned runs... Earned the win against Canton on 4/14 with five solid innings, allowing just three earned runs and striking out five... In his final outing of the season, pitched six innings against Canton to earn the win, allowing four earned runs while striking out seven. 

2024 (First-Year): Made five appearances, earning two starts... Totaled 12.1 innings, going 1-0, striking out nine batters... Made his collegiate debut against Old Westbury on 3/20, earning the win with 3.1 innings of work, striking out four... Threw five innings of one-run ball in relief against Oswego State on 4/23, striking out four.

High School: Attended Massapequa High School, where he competed in baseball for four years... Two-time Nassau County Champion, one-time Long Island Champion... Gained travel experience with Next Level Baseball. 

Personal: Son of Katie and Jason Castillo... Enjoys working out.
