Sean Guida

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Sean Guida enters his first year as the assistant baseball coach at Plattsburgh State in 2022.
  
Guida spent each of the past three years playing professional baseball, competing for the Gary SouthShore RailCats, the East Side Diamond Hoppers, the Somerset Patriots, the Rockland Boulders and the New Hampshire Wild. He also has experience working as a group and individual baseball trainer with the All-Star Baseball Academy in Warminster, Pa.
 
As an undergraduate student-athlete at Roanoke College, Guida was a Second-Team All-America selection by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) in 2018 and helped the Maroons to a College World Series appearance in 2017. He was the D3baseball.com South Region Player of the Year, a First-Team All-South Region (D3baseball.com and ABCA) selection, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Player of the Year and a First-Team All-ODAC choice in 2018 in addition to being an ABCA Second-Team All-South Region honoree in 2017. Guida finished his career with 203 hits, 148 runs, 113 RBI, 31 doubles, 21 triples, eight home runs, 75 walks and 41 stolen bases in addition to hitting .352 and fashioning on-base and slugging percentages of .435 and .520, respectively.
  
Guida earned his Bachelor of Arts in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Roanoke in 2018.
