The Plattsburgh State Athletics Department philosophy consists of three parts: athletic excellence, academic achievement and community service. In addition to their success on the field, Cardinal Men's Lacrosse embraces this three-pronged approach and is very active in the community. The athletics department recognizes the outstanding support from the community and attempts to return the attention in positive ways.
The Plattsburgh men's lacrosse team's two biggest community partners are the developing relationships with the Saint Baldrick's Foundation and the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. For more information on St. Baldrick's, please visit

outreach game and organized a second
Cardinals Clip Cancer fundraiser to conclude their following non-traditional segment in the fall. For the past two fall semesters, the Cardinals have volunteered over 200 hours at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.
In addition, team members have participated in the Battle of Plattsburgh Bed Race, the Buddy Walk and the Polar Plunge so far during the 2010-11 school year--compiling 600-plus hours of volunteer work since August. Last year, the Cardinals spent over 800 hours of community service.
During its 2011 schedule, the Cardinals plan to play a home date in the spring donning pink jerseys to raise money and increase awareness for breast cancer.
